HELP US MOVE TO GREENER PASTURES

Montana has seen a lot of changes in recent years, and the Helena Valley is no exception! New industrial plants and businesses are moving in to provide jobs, more affordable housing options and all the other benefits that come with the growth of a community. Unfortunately, this means we also have to relocate our long-standing rodeo grounds, and with that being the case, it's high time the East Helena Rodeo got an upgrade!

The East Helena Valley Rodeo Association (EHVRA) is a non-profit, volunteer organization dedicated to the heritage of rodeo and the future of the sport for over 60 years. Our association consists of over 30 committee members working year-round to bring to you one of the biggest and best Northern Rodeo Association (NRA) rodeos in the state.

Although we've secured a large grant from Lewis & Clark County, we have a long road ahead in obtaining the funds needed for the next phase of our relocation. The grant covers engineering and excavation costs of the new grounds, but we are still seeking funding for grandstands, power, and water for the new location. This is why our association is reaching out far and wide to the community that has participated in keeping the heritage of rodeo alive in our small town.

The EHVRA is committed to youth and the sport of rodeo. This move will allow us to not only produce our annual NRA rodeo but also offer use of the grounds for community events built around the sport. (Something our association has not been able to do due to the limited land use agreement of the original location.)

Our vision is to provide an affordable or no-cost location for youth groups focused on the sport of rodeo, ranching or farming where they may practice, fundraise or hold events throughout the season.

The new EHVRA Rodeo Grounds will bring commerce to our small town and ensure that the Montana Heritage of Rodeo continues for generations to come.

They say, “It takes a village.” and that is true. Your donation will help secure the future of rodeo in East Helena and surrounding areas. Thank you for taking the time to consider being part of the future of Rodeo in Montana.
